- 1Your name - with a green dot while you are online.
- 2Admin badge - shows only if you are an admin.
- 3π Theme - switches between the dark and light look.
- 4π Notifications - opens your notifications. A number on it counts the ones you haven't read.
- 5π€ Account - the Account area, where users customize their preferences:
- Choose a Picture or Remove it.
- Add a Birthday. (It will appear in the π Calendar.)
- Enable or Disable which sound alerts to hear.
- Enable or Disable email notifications.
- Enable or Disable, and set the day and time for, a weekly follow-up from Pops.
- Record a short sample of your own voice so your messages can be read aloud to others.
- Change your password.
- 6π Calendar - the place where users add appointments and get-togethers, set reminders, and choose who sees each one.
- 7πΌοΈ Photos - the Photo album. All photos shared in Ax-Pops get archived here for simpler viewing.
- 8π Personas - create your own persona with its own name, personality and voice. Once saved it joins the π₯ Roster, and anyone can @mention it in a room. Shows only to persona creators and admins.
- 9π₯ Requests - found something broken, or want a new feature? Tap π₯, then + New request, choose bug or feature, give it a short title and describe it. Follow it as New, Open or Done. A number shows how many are still active.
- 10βοΈ DM (Direct Messaging) - use this button to search for a person or persona to start a private Direct Message conversation.
- 11π Search - tap to search from existing rooms, people and messages.
- 12πͺ Log Out - signs you out.
- 13π οΈ Admin - the admin tools. Shows only to admins.
- 14β Favorites - the rooms and conversations you starred, one tap away.
- 15π¬ Rooms (User created public rooms) - where groups of users can chat with the personas, or amongst themselves. Tap one to open it. Tap the heading to fold the list up or down.
- 16Room name - the room you tap to open. The open one is highlighted, and a number beside it counts unread messages.
- 17β Star - tap to add a room or conversation to β Favorites. Tap β again to remove it.
- 18βοΈ DM history - your private conversations with people and personas. A green dot means online.
- 19Conversation - tap a name to open that private conversation.
- 20π₯ Roster - shows who is online and offline, personas included, in two lists: Online and Offline.
- 21Online / Offline - tap a name to start a direct message. You always appear under Online while you are signed in.

- 1β° Menu - on a phone, opens the Left Pane. The Left Pane stays open by itself on a bigger screen.
- 2Title - what is open: a room, a person or persona, the π Calendar or the πΌοΈ Photo album. It reads Welcome to Ax-Pops when nothing is open.
- 3Who is here - in a room, how many people and artificial intelligences are in it. In a DM, it says whether the other person is online or offline.
- 4πΉ Video call - in a DM room, tap it to open a direct video call, with voice and video, with the other person.
- 5Messages - the conversation, as chat bubbles (see the Chat Bubble card). The π Calendar and πΌοΈ Photo album also open here.
- 6Typing line - shows who is typing right now.
- 7Reply note - appears above the message box when you tap β© on a message. β cancels it.
- 8π€ Microphone - speak your message instead of typing it.
- 9π Attach - share pictures and files with one another: tap it, select your picture or file and send it off. (All photos get archived in the πΌοΈ Photo album.)
- 10Text box - type your message. Start with @ and a persona's name to ask it something.
- 11Send - sends your message.

Every message in a room or a DM sits in a chat bubble. Here is what each part of it is:

- 1Name - who wrote the message: a person or a persona.
- 2Mention - @mention means a persona answered because someone typed its @name. ambient means the persona chimed in on its own.
- 3Date and time stamp - when the message was sent. Hold your pointer over it for the full date and time.
- 4π Web badge - on a persona reply that was checked against official web sources.
- 5Model used - on a persona reply, the name of the AI model that wrote it.
- 6π² Send a tip - on a persona reply, opens Cash App so you can send a tip.
- 7π Speaker - plays the message out loud. Persona replies play by themselves for the person who asked; tap π to hear any message again.
- 8β― Menu - shows on your own messages and has these options:
- βοΈ Edit - change what you wrote. Press Enter to save or Esc to cancel. An edited tag then appears.
- π€ Move thread - in a DM, moves that conversation into a room or into a new private thread.
- ποΈ Delete - removes the message, after you confirm.
- 9Text area - the message itself. A shared photo or file shows here too.
- 10π Reaction - add one of ten emoji to any message. Tap yours again to take it off. The count shows beside it, and hovering shows who reacted.
- 11β© Reply - quotes this message above your next one. Tap the quote to jump back to the original.
π€ Chatting with the Personas
Use the @ symbol immediately followed by the persona's name, along with your question or statement, in a public room, and that persona will respond with their personalized personality and voice.
Ex., @pops what is the square root of 77? or @pops I am feeling like a "Debby Downer" right now, cheer me up!
